![]() So for all of you who have a "59 Les Paul Jimmy Page Signature Custom Shop Aged by Tom Murphy", I think your guitar is stupid. It's got burns on the headstock made with Pall Malls JUST LIKE the guy from Lynrd Skynrd used to smoke". How many people have to sign a freakin' guitar before you'll buy it, anyway? And what's up with all these "tribute" models? "Hey, Dude, check out my guitar. I refuse to adjust to Les Paul model proliferation. "Hey, let's take the pickguard off this one so it looks a little different!"+1 on all this stuff. they're all so undifferentiated it's stupid. Nowadays there are what, 43 different model Les Pauls? The Jimmy Page Signature model, the Joe Perry Signature model, the Milfred Doolittle Signature model. Okay, six: Junior is kinda cool (though arguably not much of a Les Paul). Of course, I'm sort of an Old Skool Gibson fan (if by "Old Skool" we mean 1973) so I also believe that there should only be five Les Paul models: Custom, Standard, Deluxe, Signature, and Recording. A Les Paul is meant to have a pickguard, period.
